Regis tips nervy wait over Dorrans

Dorrans was the star of the show as Roberto Di Matteo's men won promotion back to the Premier League last season. The Scottish star was a bargain-buy £150,000 signing from Livingston during Tony Mowbray's tenure - and Albion have already rejected two big-money bids for Dorrans from West Ham so far this summer. The all-action midfielder is under contract at The Hawthorns until 2014 and Di Matteo will urge chairman Jeremy Peace to resist any temptation he has to cash in on Dorrans as he is central to the manager's first-team plans. Dorrans has flourished under Albion's style of play and system, says Regis, who these days works as an agent. But the former Baggies striker thinks there could be more interest in Dorrans - and possibly bigger bids - as the new season draws closer. Regis said: "Graham is an excellent player. He's done very, very well. They play a system that suits him because of his style of play. "His creative side is fantastic, he has a good eye for goal - he was a great buy by Tony Mowbray. He has come on really well. "There have been a few rumours about clubs being in for him for up to £5million but that's his stock. That's only down to his performances and he played very, very well last year. "You can move too early but the way football is now sometimes you have to make the move when the opportunity is there. "In football if you have a bad six months then suddenly no one wants you. If it suits everybody - the player, the buying club, the selling club and the player moves, the player moves. "Look at James Milner. He did very well at Villa last year and now he's worth £30million. If it suits all parties it's a win, win situation," he added in the Express & Star.
