Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has received a warning from the Football Association for criticizing the performance of a referee in the team's Premier League defeat to Stoke.

Redknapp was unhappy with Chris Foy's display in Spurs' 2-1 loss at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday, saying ''from the start of the game I felt like he wasn't going to give us much.''

After reviewing the comments, the FA decided against charging Redknapp but sent him a written note ''warning him as to his future conduct.''

Spurs had defender Younes Kaboul sent off and had two penalty appeals for handball turned down by Foy as their 11-match unbeaten run came to an end.
