Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is considering withdrawing his offer to be a BBC pundit at Euro 2012.
Eight days ago the BBC announced that Redknapp would be part of their team in Poland and Ukraine for the European Championship.
The 65-year-old is now thinking about turning his back on the deal as he wants to rest after a draining year that his seen him undergo a heart procedure, successfully contest two charges of tax evasion and lead Spurs to the brink of a top-four finish in the Barclays Premier League.
Redknapp also feels it would be difficult to offer his views on England's performance at the tournament given that he missed out on becoming Three Lions head coach to Roy Hodgson.
"I'm still trying to make up my mind (about the BBC position)," said Redknapp, who was part of the broadcaster's team for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
"I will look at it in the summer. It could be tricky. I wouldn't be criticising (Hodgson) in any way so I suppose there's not much point having me on!
"I just feel like I need a holiday. I need to get a break from it all. Maybe I'll go to Canvey Island or the Isle of Dogs or something."
The revelation is something of a surprise given that Redknapp was the focal point of the BBC's announcement of their team for the tournament on May 3.
