Real Zaragoza drew 0-0 at nine-man Levante on Friday, helping it edge away from the Spanish league drop zone.
Levante was the more assertive side early on, but it failed to convert its scoring chances and was then put on the defensive after losing a man.
Levante midfielder Papakouly Diop was sent off for dangerous play in the 53rd minute. Teammate Pedro Lopez was dismissed for receiving two yellows in stoppage time.
Zaragoza is two points clear of relegation but can be passed by Osasuna and Deportivo La Coruna if they win this weekend.

Levante, which is being investigated for alleged match-fixing in a recent loss to Deportivo, has only one win in its past 14 games.
