Rangers hosted a memorial service inside Ibrox on Monday to mark the 40th anniversary of the disaster at the stadium which claimed the lives of 66 people.
The fans were crushed on a stairway when barriers collapsed at the Glasgow venue near the end of an Old Firm derby against Celtic.
John Greig, the Rangers captain in 1971, says that ''for somebody to go to a football match and never return must be a terrible thing to live with.''
The anniversary of the Jan. 2, 1971 disaster fell on Sunday, when Celtic beat Rangers 2-0.
