Scottish league leader Rangers will be without Steven Naismith for the rest of the season after the forward sustained anterior cruciate ligament damage.
Naismith hurt his right knee against Aberdeen on Saturday and has been ruled out for at least eight months.
Rangers manager Ally McCoist says ''he was in the form of his life and it is a huge blow for him and the club that he is out for the rest of the season.''
Naismith had scored nine goals in 11 matches for the defending champions.

A similar knee injury in 2008 kept him out for eight months.
McCoist added that ''Naisy has recovered from a serious knee injury before and he will come back again.''
