Ramsey delighted to be back

The Welsh starlet was introduced in the second half of the Gunners' 2-0 exit to Manchester United in their FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday. Ramsey was the victim of a horror challenge from Stoke's Ryan Shawcross in February last year, with his right leg shattered in two, and did not play a competitive match until November when on loan at Nottingham Forest. A subsequent short-term spell followed at former club Cardiff, but manager Arsene Wenger has now put his faith back in the 20-year-old to play at the highest level again. Some feared that Ramsey may not have mentally made a full recovery from the extent of his injury last year, but the talented playmaker is confident that any fears are behind him. "The thought of the injury doesn't go through my mind at all during any game. I just concentrate on the role I've got to play and try to get the points we need," he said. "The fans have been fantastic all the way through. They gave me a big cheer when I came on and I appreciate their support. "It was great to pull the Arsenal shirt on again and play some part in the game. "It's been a long time since I played for Arsenal. It was a disappointing result, but from a personal point of view it was great to be back. "It hasn't been a great week. We've gone out of two competitions and before that we lost the Carling Cup final. We need to bounce back, concentrate on the league and hopefully we can win that. "Hopefully I can kick on with Arsenal. The injury has all gone and I'm nearly back to where I was."
