Rafael has become a key figure for United since breaking into the first-team set-up and his injury setback represents an untimely blow to the Red Devils' plans. The 21-year-old joins Patrice Evra, Javier Hernandez, Antonio Valencia and Michael Owen on the injury list, with United having been forced to contend without a number of senior stars in their opening fixture of the campaign. Sir Alex Ferguson revealed on Friday that Mexican forward Hernandez is still some 10 days away from returning to training.
