PSV go two clear in Holland

PSV and defending champions Twente went into the 24th round level on points but Michel Preud'homme's men, who kicked off at lunchtime, could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to mid-table NEC. Niki Zimling gave the visitors a seventh-minute lead and Emir Bajrami levelled 20 minutes later. PSV capitalised with a 4-1 win although they were made to work hard by a NAC side who played for 75 minutes with 10 men following the dismissal of Nemanja Gudelj. Balazs Dzsudzsak put the home side ahead after 25 minutes but NAC equalised 19 minutes into the second half through Anthony Lurling. Jeremain Lens made it 2-1 two minutes later, though, and Ola Toivonen and Francisco Rodriguez completed the scoring. Ajax consolidated third spot with a 1-0 win over VVV-Venlo - Mounir El Hamdaoui scoring the winner after 11 minutes. VVV had Ken Leemans dismissed with 16 minutes to go. Two goals in the final 10 minutes salvaged a point for ADO Den Haag at home to Feyenoord to deny the struggling Rotterdammers a first away win of the Eredivisie season. Mario Been's side headed into the encounter just two points above the drop zone but looked on course to clinch the victory when teenage striker Luc Castaignos bagged a first-half double. However, the fifth-placed hosts had other ideas and avoided defeat thanks to late goals from Charlton Vicento and Dmitri Bulykin. Second-half goals from Wilfried Bony and Nemanja Matic earned Vitesse Arnhem a 2-0 victory over De Graafschap.
