The damage was done in the first half, when Balazs Dzsudzsak opened the scoring from the penalty spot before goals from Ibrahim Afellay (19), Danny Koevermans (22) and Nordin Amrabat (40) sent PSV in 4-0 up at the break. Charlison Benschop pulled one back after 63 minutes, but Koevermans grabbed his second of the match five minutes later. The win allowed PSV to maintain their one-point lead over FC Twente, who needed a late Bryan Ruiz winner to see off NEC Nijmegen 2-1. Luuk de Jong put the Enschede side ahead after 13 minutes, but the match appeared to be heading for stalemate courtesy of Bjorn Vleminckx's 67th-minute leveller until Ruiz intervened five minutes from time. Ajax romped to a comfortable 4-0 over 10-man FC Utrecht to keep themselves in the race for the title. The visitors were reduced to 10-men when Jan Wuytens saw red and the home side profited as two goals apiece from Luis Suarez and Gregory van der Wiel sealed an ultimately easy win for Martin Jol's side, who remain seven points off top spot. Feyenoord came out on top of a thrilling second half to win 3-2 at FC Groningen. After a goalless first period, Andre Bahia opened the scoring for the Rotterdammers three minutes before the hour mark and the points appeared safe when Diego Biseswar made it 2-0 10 minutes from time. Goals from Tim Matavz (83) and Andreas Granqvist (88) turned the match on its head in double quick time, but Ron Vlaar netted on the stroke of full-time to hand the points to Feyenoord. Feyenoord's city rivals Sparta Rotterdam left it just as late to claim a point as substitute Rydell Poepon's 90th-minute strike gave them a 2-2 draw with NAC Breda. NAC twice led through Matthew Amoah (18) and Csaba Feher (48), but Sparta levelled through Milano Koenders (44) and Poepon.
