PSV and Twente both claim wins

PSV edged FC Utrecht 2-1 while Twente beat Heracles 2-0 to leave the two teams nine points ahead of third-placed Ajax. Ola Toivonen gave PSV the ideal start to their game when he put them ahead after just six minutes but the visitors, who were looking to go ahead of Heracles, equalised through Sander Keller six minutes before the break. Orlando Engelaar's goal with half an hour to go re-established PSV's lead and with Keller sent off after 77 minutes for his second yellow card, Utrecht's job was made all the harder. Bryan Ruiz put Twente ahead two minutes before the break in their clash with Heracles before Blaise Nkufo sealed victory midway through the second half. Luis Suarez notched four second-half goals to lead third-placed Ajax to a thumping 4-0 victory over 10-man Roda JC. The Uruguay forward opened the scoring nine minutes after the break from the penalty spot, and doubled the hosts' advantage quarter of an hour later in similar fashion after an incident which earned Davy de Fauw a red card. Roda never looked likely to get back on terms but Suarez was not about to take any chances and bagged two more goals in the final 11 minutes to ensure a comfortable triumph for Martin Jol's side. Goals in either half by Andreas Granqvist and Danny Holla guided FC Groningen to their fourth home win of the season as they saw off ADO Den Haag 2-0. Granqvist converted a penalty after a quarter of an hour after Tim Matavz was fouled in the area with the hosts doubling their lead with half an hour remaining when Holla converted from close range. Serginho Greene popped up with a last-gasp equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw for Vitesse Arnhem against Sparta Rotterdam. The pair played out a stodgy encounter that only really kicked into life when Erik Falkenburg put the home side in front after an hour's play. That goal looked to have settled the issue until Greene tapped home after Lasse Nilsson's 89th-minute shot cannoned back off the crossbar.
