Thiago Silva's agent has claimed Paris Saint-Germain will soon be the biggest team in Europe - even if his client does not sign.
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi claimed on Thursday he had agreed to sell Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the big-spending French club, despite the Brazilian defender signing a new deal last month.
Silva's agent Paulo Tonietto admitted the new contract would not prove a stumbling block to a move and praised the set-up at PSG.
"He renewed his contract because he felt valued and because Milan requested that," Tonietto told Globo Esporte. "But that won't prevent any negotiation.
"You can write it - PSG will be the biggest team in Europe in two or three years, even if they don't sign Thiago Silva and Ibra.
"I know the structure and the people that work there. They have great potential.
"Besides, they aren't being affected by the economic crisis, unlike most European clubs."
More meetings will be held on Friday as PSG seek to conclude negotiations with Silva and Ibrahimovic.
Reports in the Italian press suggest the players' wage demands are the only issue with Milan having accepted a joint-bid for the pair.
