PSG settles for disappointing draw

Edinson Cavani scored a superb late goal to deny Ajaccio a famous win at the Parc des Princes as Paris Saint-Germain were held to a 1-1 home draw by the Corsicans.
Despite dominating from start to finish Laurent Blanc's champions were left frustrated not to get a win after Benoit Pedretti had given the visitors an early lead with a wonder goal. A draw for PSG leaves them winless after two games and already four points off the leading pack while Ajaccio gained their first point of the season.
Lorient picked up their first points of the season after recovering from a goal down to defeat Nantes 2-1 at Stade Du Moustoir.
Newly-promoted Nantes defeated Bastia 2-0 in their opening match and were on course for another successful outing after taking a 17th-minute lead through Olivier Veigneau.
However, they were left empty-handed as Lorient drew level before the break thanks to Vincent Aboubakar and then snatched a 61st-minute winner through Jeremie Aliadiere's unstoppable free-kick.
Emmanuel Riviere scored a hat-trick as Monaco's successful start to life back in Ligue 1 continued with a 4-1 win over 10-man Montpellier.
Radamel Falcao opened the scoring from the penalty spot early in the first half before Ranieri's men were pegged back thanks to a Victor Hugo Montano effort.
Riviere put Monaco back in front just before the break, though, and the former Toulouse striker scored twice more in the second half - either side of a red card for Montpellier defender Daniel Congre for a foul on Yannick Ferreira Carrasco - to wrap up the points.
