Pressure is on Liverpool - Lescott

Manchester City star Joleon Lescott has cranked up the tension
ahead of Sunday's crucial clash with top four rivals Liverpool at
Eastlands.
City currently hold a slender advantage in the battle for the
final UEFA Champions League spot as they lead the Reds by one point
with a game in hand.
Tottenham and Aston Villa are also firmly in the race as the
Premier League season enters what promises to be a thrilling home
stretch.
Reds boss Rafa Benitez has 'guaranteed' that his troops will
finish in the top four, while City boss Roberto Mancini has set
himself a similar target.
The ambitious Eastlands outfit climbed back above their
rivals with Tuesday's scrappy and somewhat fortunate 1-1 draw at
10-man Stoke.
Despite the manner of their victory, centre-back Lescott
believes that going into Sunday's match in the ascendancy will give
them an important edge.
Lescott said: "It's huge for us that we're going into that
game above them now thanks to the result at Stoke.
"We still believe we can get into the Champions League - and
I believe that all the pressure is now on Liverpool."
