Dalglish won his first match in charge of the Reds for the second time on Saturday in comprehensive fashion with a 3-0 victory over Wolves at Molineux, only their third away win in 13 months in the Premier League. It was almost like watching the Liverpool of old at times, with the club displaying the kind of pass-and-move football seldom seen in the past 18 months under Roy Hodgon and the final days of Rafael Benitez. Raul Meireles and Fernando Torres shone for the Reds on Saturday, but a 31-pass build-up to Torres' second goal in the final minute summed up the change in approach. Poulsen, a much-maligned figure since joining from Juventus in the summer during Hodgson's doomed reign at Anfield, played a part in the victory, sending Meireles clean through to supply Torres with Liverpool's first of the game. And the Dane, who has been criticised for his negativity at times, felt that Dalglish's emphasis on passing the ball was clearly paying off. "Kenny hasn't been here long, and he needs to get to know the players and he will slowly adapt his type of football to the team," he told the club's official website. "Watching the manager as a player was a little bit before my time, but you can feel the difference it has made. At Wolves, it was unbelievable how the away fans supported the manager. "A little difference is that we're playing more through the middle and it worked pretty good at Wolves. Kenny is a manager who wants to play with the ball, we keep the ball on the floor. "It's a long time since we got points away. It was an important game if you look at the table, and I hope it will be a good start for the team. "It's our first victory away in a long time and I hope it will be a start to playing better away from home. "Now the next two games are at home and we need the points at the moment. "We have our captain back in the next game and I hope we can get three points against Fulham next week." Despite the criticism being levelled at him at times this season, Poulsen stated that he understood the fan's concerns, and was working hard to be at his best at all times. "I know the fans sometimes shout at me, but I did really good in the first half, and I had two or three misplaced passes in the beginning of the second half," he said. "Of course, I want to improve my game and I hope I can do that here at Liverpool. "It's a fight to get into the team, and with some good performances on the training ground hopefully I can have a new start here at Liverpool. "The season hasn't been too good for the club or for me. I hope we can now start getting more wins. We need to. "It's been a difficult year for Liverpool and hopefully we can turn it around in the rest of the season. It's not just me, it's everyone around the club. We need to work hard and turn it around, and hopefully the start can be this win."
