Potters ace Sorensen sets points target

Saturday's 1-0 victory at West Ham lifted the Potters 12 points clear of the bottom three and only an unlikely set of results will see them dragged back into the mire. It leaves City looking up rather than down and with the aim of taking seven points from their final seven matches to improve on the 45 points they gleaned from the 2008-09 campaign. "I don't think we are looking over our shoulders any more," said Sorensen in the Stoke Sentinel. "We are looking to improve on last year and we have set ourselves a target to hopefully get 46 points and see where that takes us. "Our win at West Ham was fantastic. We knew we'd get our chances and then that brilliant goal from Ric [Ricardo Fuller] was just what we needed. "Now hopefully we can take that with us in to Saturday's game (at home to Hull) and get another three points."
