Portugal wins 2-1 away to Luxembourg

Cristiano Ronaldo and Helder Postiga scored a goal each as Portugal rallied from a goal down to scrape a 2-1 win away to Luxembourg in their opening World Cup qualifier on Friday.
Luxembourg took a shock lead in the 14th minute when Dudelingen forward Daniel Da Mota collected the ball some 30 yards (meters) out before advancing to hit a powerful, curling shot from just outside the penalty area that dipped over the head of goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
A mistake gifted Portugal the equalizing goal in the 27th. The home side failed to clear the ball on the edge of the penalty and Ronaldo reacted quickly to steal it and hit a shot from near the penalty spot that bounced in off the post.
It was Ronaldo's 37th international goal, and came in a week when he has been speaking of ''feeling sad'' because of professional reasons at Real Madrid.
Postiga then put Portugal ahead in the 54th when he controlled a high ball on his head, span around deftly, and hit a shot into the bottom left corner for his 21st goal for Portugal.
