Brazil striker Adriano has been questioned by police about alleged
ties to drug traffickers.
A prosecutor had ordered the questioning after a newspaper
reported that Adriano purchased two motorcycles and registered one
of them in the name of the mother of a "known drug trafficker."
Adriano did not talk to the media after being questioned on
Thursday, but one of his lawyers said everything was clarified.
Adriano was raised at a Rio de Janeiro slum and admits he
likes to remain close to his community, but has always denied any
type of wrongdoing.
Police didn't immediately make any comments about Adriano's
questioning.
