Poland's Football Association is choosing a new president to succeed Grzegorz Lato amid calls for reforming the body blamed for poor team performances at home and internationally, corruption and tolerance for stadium hooligans.
The 118 delegates at the FA convention will choose on Friday from five candidates, including 1980s great Zbigniew Boniek, and regional FA head in Lodz, Edward Potok.
Lato, another of Poland's football great, was not seeking a second term. He was criticized recently when a World Cup qualifier with England in Warsaw was postponed by rain.
