Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Lukas Podolski will be out injured for three weeks.

The German injured his left hamstring and was carried off on a stretcher during Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Fenerbahce in the Champions League on Tuesday. Podolski will also miss Germany's World Cup qualifiers at the start of next month against Austria and the Faroe Islands.

"We paid a heavy price on the injury front because we lost Podolski," manager Arsene Wenger said after victory that secured his side's place in the group stage for the 16th successive season.

"Podolski's definitely out for 21 days."
