Town have confirmed holding talks with at least one top-flight club, with Norwich believed to be the frontrunners for the 23-year-old's signature. "Pilks deserves his chance to perform on the biggest stage in England," said Town chairman Dean Hoyle. "I am proud of the small role the club has played in helping him develop his talent and now making that dream possible for him. "A deal isn't sealed yet but if Pilks goes, he leaves with all my best wishes and thanks for all he has done for the club, together with the goodwill of everyone here at the club." Pilkington, who scored 25 goals in 107 appearances for Huddersfield, extended his contract until 2014 in December but announced last week he wanted to leave.
