Pavlyuchenko wants to play

The Russia international has slipped down Harry Redknapp's pecking order at White Hart Lane following the loan arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor. Adebayor gets the nod for Premier League outings, leaving Pavlyuchenko to fill in for Redknapp in European and Carling Cup games. Pavlyuchenko started Spurs' midweek win over Rubin Kazan but knows he is likely to be dropped for Sunday's trip to Blackburn. The 29-year-old loves Tottenham and says the club is like a second family, but feels he is now at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing. "I love Tottenham. The team is like my second family but if nothing changes I will agree to any loan deal," Pavlyuchenko told The People. "In fact, to any deal which gives me the chance to play permanently. "I only make it into the starting line-up in the Carling Cup and Europa League matches. "That's the reality. So my goal on Thursday is unlikely to influence my future at Spurs."
