Ollie won't waste Blackpool cash

The Seasiders drastically need to bolster their ranks ahead of the new season if they are to compete alongside the Premier League elite. Holloway accepts as much and has spent much of the summer attempting to identify suitable targets. He has had little luck so far, but is refusing to let that deter him from his ultimate aim. Fresh faces are required, and funds are available, but Holloway is adamant that he will not be spending for the sake of it. "Both the chairman and myself are very straightforward about what we want and how we're going to do it and I agree with him how we're doing it," he told the club's official website. "Let's see what happens. I want the right people and I have to make the right decisions. "I want the right people to work with, I don't care where they come from or whatever division they come from and I don't want anyone to judge them yet. I want to polish them up and give them a half-decent career." Blackpool have not enjoyed the best of pre-seasons, ahead of their top flight bow, and Holloway admits everyone around Bloomfield Road could do with a morale boost. "I think they need a lift with some good players coming in and I'm trying my utmost now on some of these deals," he added. "What I want to do is get them going again and add some quality people and quality players to what we've got."
