Official-FC Barcelona sign Paco Alcácer


Barcelona have announced the signing of forward Paco Alcácer from Valencia CF. The deal has a fee structure of €30 million plus €2 million in variables. It also includes Munir going in the opposite direction on loan. The release clause in Alcácer’s contract is set at €100 million. The striker has passed his medical and has now signed a five-year contract with FC Barcelona. He will join up with the squad after returning from international duty. Then, he will be officially presented at the Camp Nou.

This move had been expected by Cules ever since Robert spoke about his interest in the marksman. It is a huge blow for the Valencia squad, as it weakens a lackluster squad even further. The timing of the transfer is also horrible, with them also selling Shkodran Mustafi to Arsenal. But both the transfers were necessary for the club to be in accordance with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.

Alcácer will reinforce the forward trident of FC Barcelona. Alcácer has played 146 matches in two spells at Valencia and a season on loan at Getafe. After making his debut for ‘Los Ché’ in 2010/11, he spent 2012/13 at the club. He spent the 2012-13 season on loan at Getafe, where he impressed. As a result,he found himself in the first-team and played for his local club for two more years. He even became captain during this period.

His finishes are clinical and accurate. He can accelerate at tremendous speed. He also has the ability to hold up the ball. Overall, a forward made for FC Barcelona.
