O'Connor, 27, ended his six years at Doncaster to sign a two-year deal at Pride Park on Wednesday. He revealed he wanted to continue playing in the Championship following Doncaster's relegation and that the chance to represent the Rams was too good to refuse. "Derby is a massive club," he told the club's official website. "I'm from the Midlands myself, so I know how big the club is. "You can see the stature of the club the minute you walk through the gates at the training ground. "The stadium is a great place to play your football, so I'm really looking forward to getting out there now. "This is a great opportunity to be playing Championship football again."
