Stoke new boy Steven N'Zonzi has announced himself fit and raring to go as the Potters prepare to take on Premier League champions Man City.
N'Zonzi has not played a competitive game since the end of last season, having departed Blackburn for the Britannia Stadium in the summer following Rovers' relegation from the top-flight.
The Frenchman is feeling settled at Stoke and has declared himself ready to play ahead of Saturday's visit of City.
"I feel good because although I have not played, I have been training and working hard all of the time," N'Zonzi told The Sentinel.
"It was difficult not playing, difficult mentally sometimes, but now I am fine.
"It has been good at Stoke because everybody is making me feel good and feel welcome - the staff and the players."
N'Zonzi was impressed by the Potters' display in their 2-2 draw at Wigan last time out, when fellow new signing Charlie Adam made his debut.
The 23-year-old admits it will come down to manager Tony Pulis whether or not he and Adam are given the opportunity to forge a partnership in midfield.
"It was a good game away from home," he said. "The team is very strong and had a good shape.
"As soon as he (Adam) came onto the pitch, I think he gave something good to the team. He has good quality.
"But it is not really my decision if we play together. The manager will decide what is going to happen.
"Whether it is me and Adam, or somebody else, the most important thing is that the team is good."
N'Zonzi says he is flexible over the role Pulis chooses for him at the club, adding: "Anything he (Pulis) asks me to do I will try to do it.
"I cannot say if I am his type of player, but I will just do my best to show I can be good for the team."
