Notre Dame junior Melissa Henderson has won the Honda Sports Award as the nation's top collegiate women's soccer player.
The award announced Tuesday was the result of balloting among 1,000 NCAA member schools.
Henderson led the Fighting Irish to their third NCAA title this season, and was the voted best offensive player of the College Cup. She assisted on the winning goal in championship match.
The first-team All-American finished with 17 goals and a career-high 11 assists.
