Marco Borriello is determined to prove his worth to Roma coach Claudio Ranieri after securing a loan switch from AC Milan.
The 28-year-old Borriello left the Rossoneri following the arrivals of attacking pair Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the San Siro earlier this week.
"I am delighted to be here," said Borriello during his unveiling at Roma. "I didn't expect such a reception from the fans.
"I've never seen so many people and so many cameras so for me this is gratifying.
"It's a great satisfaction but also a responsibility."
The Italy international had been strongly linked with a move to Juventus last month but he turned down a loan switch to the Turin giants on the final day of the transfer window and opted instead to head to the Italian capital.
"I thank (Roma president Rosella) Sensi that he convinced me to come here with her passion," said Borriello.
After spending several seasons on loan, Borriello returned to Milan last season and scored 14 goals in 26 appearances.
However, he was unable to hold a starting place with Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho above him in the pecking order.
