Nice have given a professional contract to Gregoire Puel, the son of coach Claude.
The right-back, 21, has made three Ligue 1 appearances this season, against Bastia, St Etienne and Reims.
He joined the club at the start of the season having previously played at youth-team level for Lyon, where his father was also in charge until 2011.
