AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta has had a minor surgery to stabilize a broken bone in his right hand.
Milan said Monday that Nesta would be out about a week, adding that he will definitely be ready for the club's Serie A opener against Lecce on Aug. 29.
Nesta broke a metacarpal bone during the Trofeo TIM preseason tournament Friday.
Also Monday, Kevn-Prince Boateng arrived at Milan's training center and will likely undergo a medical visit Tuesday as Milan works out a loan deal for the Ghana midfielder with Genoa.
