Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski has hosted Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano in Gdansk before Italy was to play Spain at the European Championship.
Napolitano and his entourage arrived at the historic Dwor Artusa building in the center of Gdansk, where Komorowski and Poland's first lady were waiting for them along with thousands of football fans.
Komorowski shook hands with Spanish and Italian supporters while he waited to be photographed with Napolitano and his wife.
The crowd was in high spirits and tried to encourage the two heads of state to join them in a song. Komorowski and Napolitano responded by raising their arms as if someone had just scored a goal.
