Mulumbu: Time not right to leave

Mulumbu, the club's player of the year, believes his career development will be better served at Albion after signing a new three-year deal plus a 12-month option in the club's favour. He cost only £150,000 when signing from Paris St Germain two years ago but has made rapid strides at the Baggies. Mulumbu told Albion's official website: "I heard about teams like Fiorentina and Bayern Munich being interested in me. But now is not the right time to go. "I spoke to the board and they made me think about my situation and I think it is better for me to stay at West Brom. The club has shown me the desire in every respect to stay at the club. "It means they want to build a big team and I'm glad to be involved. I know the gaffer (Roy Hodgson). I know the club, they play good football and I think we can do much better."
