Morgan: No problem with McCarthy

Relegation favourites Wolves lost 3-0 at Old Trafford last month after McCarthy controversially rested several key players for the trip to face the Premier League champions. Speaking publicly for the first time about the fact that McCarthy made 10 changes to the side at Old Trafford, Morgan said: "It has not harmed our relationship at all. That is rubbish. "I have seen one or two things in the papers. But I have always had a strong relationship with Mick since the day I came to the club. "Along with our chief executive, Jez Moxey, we work as a team. We don't always agree on everything and hopefully we never will because if we all agree on everything there will be no fresh input. "I think we have all been able to put our thoughts into our collective relationship and come out with the best solution for Wolves. "At the end of the day Mick is the manager and he picks the team he thinks is right for each and every match. "We had played Tottenham just a few days before playing United and the lads had run their socks off. "There were 11 sets of tired legs out there at the end of that game against Tottenham. "We have a squad and he used it against United. Everyone bar one had played in the Premier League this season. "There were seven internationals who went out that day. So he was using his squad in the way that he saw fit. "I was surprised. But it in no way takes away from the fact that is what Mick does. "He picks the best team for Wolves and as always he has to keep his eye on what has just happened. "When you put tired legs out for a big game that is when you get injuries. We have had a lot of injuries this season and Mick was only doing what he thought was best."
