More woe for struggling Willem II

Tom Hiariej chipped keeper Niki Maenpaa for the first-half opener and quickfire goals from Thomas Enevoldsen and Nicklas Pedersen shortly after the hour mark put the result beyond doubt. Andreas Granqvist shot narrowly wide from 20 yards as the visitors went on the offensive as early as the 10th minute, and Enevoldsen then saw a weak effort comfortably held by Maenpaa. Granqvist was called into action at the other end as the home team embarked on a rare attack 27 minutes in, clearing Andreas Lasnik's well-struck free-kick off the line. That was as good as it got for Willem, though, as Hiariej opened the scoring in the 36th minute, deftly clipping the ball over the head of Maenpaa from just inside the penalty area. And after a quiet spell in terms of goalmouth action, Enevoldsen added a simple second in the 63rd minute. Maikel Kieftenbeld squared the ball across the face of goal and the midfielder tapped home from eight yards. Just six minutes more had elapsed when Enevoldsen was again in the centre of the action, firing in a 15-yard effort which was parried by Maenpaa only for Pedersen to gleefully lash home the rebound from outside the penalty area. A token 25-yard effort from Rowin van Zaanen, saved by Luciano Da Silva, was the sum total of the hosts' response as they remained bottom of the table having lost all four games thus far, conceding 14 goals and scoring only three.
