Major League Soccer has decided against installing goal-line technology because it doesn't want to spend the money.

MLS commissioner Don Garber said last April his league was ''open to using goal-line technology as soon as it is made available.''

He said on Thursday the league decided to hold off, saying ''cost is the overriding factor.''

FIFA announced in February that goal-line technology will be used at next year's World Cup, and the English Premier League said this month it approved the technology for next season.
