Mineiro hat-trick stuns Sport Recife

Bruno Mineiro hit a hat-trick against his old team as Portuguesa beat Sport Recife 5-1 to climb into the top half of the Campeonato.
Sport Recife, who stand 17th in the 20-team division, went ahead with a powerful header from Hugo in the 16th minute, but the lead lasted just nine minutes.
Bruno Mineiro fired Sport Recife to promotion last season during a successful loan spell at the club, before returning to parent club Atletico Paranaense and being sent out again, this time to Portuguesa.
He levelled against his former team-mates with a smart finish in the 25th minute, running across his marker to meet a low cross from the right and fire inside the near post.
He then pounced for Portuguesa's second goal in the 48th minute, bundling the ball over the line from barely a yard, and drilled his hat-trick strike home low and left-footed after 67 minutes.
Moises took advantage of dreadful defending to notch the home side's fourth goal with eight minutes remaining, and substitute Rodriguinho, who had replaced Bruno Mineiro in the 89th minute, wrapped up scoring by sweeping a precise shot into the bottom left corner.
Portuguesa nudged up to 10th place, overtaking Flamengo and Bahia who drew 0-0 in Rio de Janeiro.
Coritiba were 1-0 winners over Ponte Preta, the winner coming from Deivid in the 42nd minute, a diving header that proved too powerful for goalkeeper Roberto.
