Inter Milan striker Diego Milito is out of the Champions League match with Werder Bremen at the San Siro.

ANSA news agency reports that the Argentine international aggravated a thigh muscle in training, and Inter decided not to risk him in Wednesday's match ahead of the Serie A game with Juventus at the weekend.

Milito came off midway through the second half against Roma on Saturday. A scan a day later showed he had strained his right quadriceps muscle.

Milito scored his first goals for Inter this season with two against Bari on Wednesday. He has lacked the form of last season, in which he scored 22 league goals and two in the Champions League final.
