AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato and captain Massimo Ambrosini face up to three weeks on the sidelines after they were injured during the 2-0 win over Auxerre on Wednesday.

Both players underwent tests on Thursday after leaving the field early in the Champions League game.

Pato strained the abductor muscle in his left leg, and has been told he will be back in action in about two to three weeks.

Ambrosini banged his left knee in a tackle and is expected to be out for three weeks.
