Thousands of Inter Milan fans celebrated their club's Champions League victory, converging in the city's streets, waving flags and honking their cars' horns.

Jubilant fans poured on Saturday night onto Milan's streets after their team defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in the final in Madrid. The win ended a 45-year wait by Inter for European football's biggest club trophy.

Fans waved the club's black-and-blue flags - and some the Italian flag. Some danced, others hugged each other.

Thousands gathered in Piazza Duomo, home to the Gothic cathedral that is a symbol of the city, to watch the match on giant screens. At the final whistle, the crowd erupted in cheers.
