Sinisa Mihajlovic has been fired by Fiorentina and replaced by Delio Rossi, the sixth coaching change among the 20 Serie A teams since the start of preseason training.
Rossi, who agreed Monday to a deal through to 2012-13, takes over a club in 12th place at 3-3-4 and 12 points, nine points behind first-place Juventus.
Mihajlovic led Fiorentina to a ninth-place finish last season in his first year in charge.
Roberto Donadoni (Cagliari) and Stefano Pioli (Palmero) were fired even before the season began and they were followed by Gian Piero Gasperini (Inter Milan) in September, Pierpaolo Bisoli (Bologna) in early October and Marco Giampaolo (Cesena) last week.
