MH bemoans 'diabolical' starts

The Premier League strugglers have fallen behind in the opening three minutes of their last three league outings and lost every game. Their recent trend of conceding early on continued at the weekend when Luke Varney's wonder goal gave Blackpool the lead en route to a 2-1 success. They have won just two of their opening 14 league matches and find themselves five points adrift of fourth from bottom Fulham. Wolves are battling for their top-flight lives and Hahnemann knows their poor start to games is undermining Mick McCarthy's game plan. While Hahnemann and co are trying to stay positive about their situation he has admitted the slow starts are becoming a worry. "It feels terrible to keep conceding so early on," said Hahnemann. "A lot of it is down to bad luck. But it took too long to get going. "It's diabolical the way things are going. You try not to let those early blows affect you but ultimately they do. "The plan was to stay nice and solid for the first 10 minutes, but bang, you are a goal behind, and when that happens regularly it does affect your confidence a bit."
