Interim Mexico coach Efrain Flores has called up much of his Europe-based talent - including Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez - for friendly matches next month against Ecuador and Colombia.

Hernandez will team up front with Giovani Dos Santos of Tottenham and Arsenal's Carlos Vela in the lineup named Wednesday.

Mexico plays Ecuador on Sept. 4 in Guadalajara and Colombia on Sept. 7 in Monterrey. Flores will handle the team in both matches as Mexico looks for a replacement for Javier Aguirre, who resigned days after Mexico lost to Argentina in the round of 16 at the World Cup in South Africa.

Mexico is expected to name a new coach after a meeting in October of the board of the Mexican Football Federation.
