McLeish praise for Given

Villa have conceded eight times in their last three league games against Manchester City, West Brom and Sunderland after letting in only five in the previous seven. They have looked vulnerable at set-plays and there have been suggestions Given could have come off his line more often to deal with balls delivered into the box. But McLeish has nothing but praise for the performances of his summer capture from Manchester City, who signed a five-year contract. He said: "I never even knew he was thought of as being to blame (for some of the goals conceded). I've been delighted with him and I would say he is as good a goalkeeper as I have worked with. "He is such a calm goalkeeper and is a guy where you don't sit in the dug-out as a manager and have your heart in your mouth about him. I have done that over the years but when you are in the dug-out knowing you can trust all your players, you know you have a good team."
