McLeish: Blues must be fearless

Birmingham are currently clear of the drop zone only on goal difference and could slide into the Championship next season if they leave White Hart Lane empty-handed. But the Blues are one of five teams still fighting the drop after West Ham's relegation was sealed last weekend, and McLeish is staying optimistic ahead of Sunday's showdown. "It's a tough game but the players have got to go and not fear it," the Scot told Sky Sports News. "We've got to go and do the job ourselves and see if we can pick up a point or, against expectations, three points, which would absolutely cement our Premier League status." McLeish feels Birmingham have enough experience not to let the pressure get to them when they make the trip to north London. He said: "There's obviously a lot of pressure. I suppose the comforting thing is we've been under pressure before and managed to cope with it. "Whatever happens we've got to keep our cool about us and go to Tottenham and make sure we have a performance that merits the Birmingham team."
