McCarthy ready for crunch time

Although Wolves are in the bottom three it has been a mixed bag with wins over Manchester City, Birmingham and Stoke along the way. The Molineux outfit have four fixtures in the next two weeks with games against Wigan, Liverpool, West Ham and Chelsea on the horizon. McCarthy believes a successful winter spell could make their campaign, but he also recognises that a poor run will leave them deep in trouble. "It is crunch time, of course it is," he told the Birmingham Mail. "It could be great or it could kill us off! We know that - I'm not that barmy that I can't see that. "But I look at them as games that can improve our position, of course I do. These are huge games for us but then they all are. "But we will be alright - we will get out of it. We will be fine. They say you're only as good as your last game and the last game we won."
