Mbia set to make future call

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Stephane Mbia says a decision on his future will be made shortly, with it possible that he will move on.

Mbia was among those drafted into Loftus Road last summer as QPR invested heavily in fresh faces they hoped would cement them among the Premier League elite.

The 2012/13 campaign was to be one to forget, though, for all of those connected with the capital outfit as they tumbled out of the top flight.

A mass exodus of talent is now being mooted, with QPR looking to trim their wage bill and rebuild for life in the Championship.

Cameroon international Mbia is among those reported to be attracting interest from afar, with Monaco said to be keen on taking the former Rennes and Marseille man back to France.

The 27-year-old is reluctant to speculate on where he will be playing in 2013/14, but has hinted that his future lies away from West London.

Mbia said: "QPR deserve to be back in the Premier League.

"I enjoyed the Premier League despite us being relegated and we can come back next season with the coach we have and the players we have.

"Many could leave, including me, but the club deserve to be in the top league. My future will be sorted out very soon."
