French club Saint-Etienne signed forward Max Gradel from Leeds on a four-year deal Wednesday.
The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international scored 18 goals last season for Leeds in the English Championship.
Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier says on the club's website that Gradel is ''a versatile player who can play anywhere up front and who will bring us his attacking skills and finishing touch.''
Gradel will boost a Saint-Etienne attack that has been depleted after the departure this summer of Dimitri Payet to Lille, Emmanuel Riviere to Toulouse and Gonzalo Bergessio to Italian club Catania.
