Maradona: Argentina too forgiving at Cup

Diego Maradona says Argentina needs to score more goals because it was "too forgiving" against Nigeria in the teams' opening match at the World Cup.

Maradona says it seemed like his players "couldn't see the goal" as they squandered numerous scoring opportunities in Saturday's 1-0 victory.

Maradona says credit should also go to Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, named the player of the match for his spectacular saves against Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain.

Maradona, making his World Cup coaching debut, says everything would be fine if the missed opportunities meant Argentina was saving some goals for Thursday's match against South Korea.
