Malouda calls for consistency

The France international thinks it was a mistake of Roman Abramovich to sack Carlo Ancelotti after a trophyless campaign last season. Chelsea had won the FA Cup and Premier League Double in 2009/10, but Ancelotti was still removed the following year and has since been succeeded by Andre Villas-Boas. The Portuguese follows Jose Mourinho, Luiz Felipe Scolari, Avram Grant and Ancelotti into West London since 2004. At the same time, Sir Alex Ferguson has been manager of United since 1986 and Malouda thinks Chelsea need to change their strategy accordingly. "We won the Double and then Carlo gets fired. It wouldn't happen to Alex Ferguson," he is quoted as saying in The Sun. "But I like the new manager and hope he sticks around. I've had four or five since I've been here. We need consistency."
