Mallorca signs Japan midfielder Akihiro Ienaga

Spanish club Mallorca has signed Japan midfielder Akihiro Ienaga on a 4 1/2 year contract.

Club vice president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer said it is possible Ienaga will be loaned out to another team as Mallorca now has four non-European Union players and the maximum number allowed is three.

''We have received offers,'' Serra said, while adding that the club has yet to make a final decision.

The 24-year-old player arrives on a free transfer from the Japanese club Cerezo Osaka, where he scored two goals and made 12 assists last season.
